History of the Allotment Movement in England

Dr Judith Hill MA PhD researcher and lecturer, will be giving a talk on the history of the allotment movement. Dr Judy Hill is a former lecturer in history at the University of Surrey and highly regarded for her ability to bring the social history of the 18^th and 19^th centuries to life for modern audiences. Judy has a deep interest in the evolution of gardening and frequently gives lectures on related topics.

This talk is free to attend for members. DAHA membership costs only £5 per year and includes free access to our talks (2-3 a year), heavily discounted compost and sundries and the odd pre-arrange day trip to an RHS garden.
