Dorking Pumpkin Show 2020 (at Denbies Vineyard)
October 11 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
SHOW POSTPONED DUE TO COVID -19
Very sadly we have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 pumpkin show. We hope very much to be back for 2021.
For information only:
Now in its 13th year, Mole Valley Pumpkin and Squash Show is relocating to Denbies Vineyard. Denbies provides a beautiful Autumn venue with fabulous views of Box Hill. All Exhibits will be displayed in the garden room beside the central atrium eating area. Giant pumpkins will be available to view outside (they're too big to get through the door)!
Each October the show provides an opportunity for allotmenteers and gardeners to showcase their horticultural skills through the wonderful world of squashes, pumpkins and gourds. The show also aims to inspire and encourage children (and parents...) to grow their own fruits at home or with their school or Scout & Guiding group.
Visiting members of the public can purchase pumpkins and squash for Halloween carving or for eating (which is a much better use for them). Take a selfie with one of our giant pumpkins - last year's biggest weighed 250kgs... that's heavier than two giant pandas!
How many show categories are there?
We have junior and senior pumpkin categories, singles, pairs and trios as well as cook off and art categories.
Start planning now - download the previous show guide for category ideas.
We are able to provide free pumpkin seeds to schools, and to children who wish to grow pumpkins at home for the show, contact us to request seeds.
